While it may seem counterintuitive, writing about death and dying as well as working with those at the end of life are incredibly life-affirming.
For the past twenty years, much of my research and some of my clinical work has focused on issues related to caring for elders and others with life-limiting illness, and my life has been incredibly enriched.
Death is a natural part of the life cycle and, while the dying process may be frightening and at times painful, the end of life provides opportunities for great compassion, growth, and deep connection.
Caring for those who are dying may appear to be one-sided, but the gifts that come with this work are reciprocal.
Dr. Moore provides consultation and workshops to those working with terminally ill persons and those caring for them.
